Loridale House

 

A great rental for families who want a luxurious self catered residence, with fantastic in-house entertainments, perfectly placed to explore the beauty of the glens. Loridale House has fabulous reception rooms, a brand new heated indoor pool and sauna and spacious reception rooms.

 

The generous bedroom suites offer flexible accommodation for up to 31 guests with luxury bathrooms, many of which are en suite. Beautifully presented with classic styling, showcasing the charming original features, beautiful antiques, soft furnishings and original Scottish works of art.

 

The accommodation is arranged as follows:

 

Ground Floor

 

•   Dining Room: Loridale House has a large formal dining hall, which seats from 12 to 24 guests around the extendable table. The dining room is traditionally dressed is beautiful antique furnishings and has a wood burning fire.

 

•    Drawing Room: This elegant room has an open fire, a well-stocked library and music system with a selection CDs. The room has generous sofas and armchairs, soft wool rugs underfoot, and is dressed in luxurious soft furnishing with antiques and lovely views from the windows.

 

•    The sitting room has a flat-screen plasma television with home cinema surround-sound, DVD and complete Sky-plus package for entertainments.

 

 

Kitchen and Dining

 

•    The kitchen: Equipped with full catering equipment, this spacious kitchen has a fantastic four oven AGA, a separate electric hob and oven and microwave.

 

There is also a dishwasher, coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer with icemaker.

 

•    Breakfast room: Adjoining the kitchen is the breakfast room, with a large dining table which seats fourteen, and there are doors leading on to the terrace and gardens.

 

•    There is also a utility room with full laundry facilities and extra refrigeration, as well as a wine cellar.

 

Entertainment

 

•    The games room has a full sized antique billiards table, a casino set with roulette wheel, a darts board, card table and CD player.

 

•    The playroom is great for amusing younger members of your party.  The room has table football, table tennis and mini snooker.

 

There is also a 42” Plasma TV with Sky TV and a DVD player.

 

•    Swimming Pool and Sauna: Newly fitted for 2010, there is a fabulous heated indoor swimming pool and sauna, offering a sublime swim and steam.

 

 

Bedroom Suites

Loridale House has thirteen luxury bedroom suites, all with goose-down and feather duvets, cotton bed linens and very comfortable beds. The bedrooms are designed to offer flexible accommodation, which can be arranged according the requirements of your party. The bedrooms, except two, all have en suite bathrooms or basins and WCs.

 

The accommodation is arranged a follows, with nine bedrooms on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor:

 

•    Bedroom one is a twin room, with two comfortable bed.

 

•    Bedroom two is a twin room, with two comfortable beds.

 

•    Bedroom three is a double bedroom with a king-size bed.

 

•    Bedroom four is a double bedroom with a king-size bed.

 

•    Bedroom five is a double bedroom with a king-size bed.

 

•    Bedroom six is a bunk room, and can sleep four in two sets of bunk beds.

 

•    Seven further bedrooms can be arranged as king-sized double bedrooms, twin bedroom or as bedrooms for three, according to your requirements.

 

•   Bathrooms: There are four bathrooms, in addition to the en suites adjoining the bedrooms, with a sauna and a total number of nine showers.  There are also two WCs.

 

 

 

Loridale Mill

 

This luxury self-catering rental provides comfortable accommodation for fourteen adults and eight children.  Formerly the old mill, this beautiful residence is fully renovated with contemporary interiors and fantastic facilities, to provide the ideal holiday rental for families, celebratory parties and corporate events.

Loridale Mill is arranged as follows:

 

Ground Floor

 

The ground floor is arranged as a stunning open-plan reception room, with a generous 80m² floor space, and cool contemporary styling. A fantastic room for entertaining, this spacious area consists of a fully fitted kitchen, formal dining area and living room.

 

The reception area has under floor heating throughout, natural slate flooring, exposed stone walls and a contemporary feature staircase leading to the upper levels. At one end is the very spacious kitchen, fully equipped for full-house catering, with beautiful granite work tops and a breakfast bar, large stove and two electric ovens, twin sinks, two dishwashers and all manner of clever gadgets.

 

The kitchen opens into the dining area, with a large, extendable dining table, which seats twelve and a beautiful vaulted ceiling. The room then leads on to a very comfortable living area with leather sofas and a flat screen television.  In addition, there is a separate television lounge with a large flat screen LCD television with full Sky package. The lounge leads out to the sandstone terrace with great views down to the river.

 

On the mezzanine level there is a sunny south-facing living room, with comfortable sofas and armchairs, beautiful slate floor and French widows leading to the terrace and private gardens with furniture.  The gardens lead down to the enchanting woods and river.

 

Bedroom Suites

 

Loridale Mill has nine luxury bedrooms, which provide luxury accommodation for up to 22 guests, and can be arranged according to your requirements.

The bedrooms are arranged as follows:

 

•    Four family bedroom suites: These spacious and beautifully presented luxury bedrooms can be arranged as either double or twin bedrooms. These rooms also have either additional bunk beds or foldaway beds.

 

•    Five luxury double bedrooms, which can also be arranged as twin bedrooms.

•    Three bathrooms with luxury high-end fittings and stunning contemporary design, two of which have fabulous Jacuzzi baths. Six of the bedrooms have washbasins.

 

•    Private sauna.

 

Games Cottage: There is a fabulous games room located in a cottage on the estate, with table tennis, darts and snooker, which is shared with Loridale Barn.

 

 

 

 

Loridale Barn

 

This stunning barn conversion provides a spacious, contemporary holiday rental for twelve adults and four children.  This self-catered holiday rental has beautiful marble floor tiling throughout, under floor heating, original exposed stone walls and stylish interiors bursting with cutting-edge design features.

 

The accommodation is arranged as follows:

 

Kitchen: Bespoke oak cabinets, granite worktops and a stunning glass archway leading to the cobblestone courtyard, which creates a great room for culinary pursuits.  The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, such as the halogen hob, double ovens, American-style fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee maker and large toaster.

 

An extendable island creates dining space for eight, for family breakfasts and informal meals.

 

Sitting Room: You enter the living room through the original stone archway, which has three large, comfortable sofas and contemporary furnishings, with a large flat screen television, with Sky and DVD player. There is and additional television sitting room, which can be arranged as a bedroom, according to your requirements.

 

Dining Room: The dining room has beautiful marble flooring, cool white walls and seats fourteen.

 

 

 

 

Bedroom Suites:

 

Loridale Barn can accommodate twelve adults and four children in seven luxury bedrooms.  The beds are dressed in cotton linens with goose and feather duvets, with king-size and super king-size beds. Most of the bedrooms have washbasins and the bathrooms have luxury fittings.

 

The bedrooms are arranged as follows:

 

•    There are six spacious, luxury double bedrooms, which can be arranged as twin bedrooms, according to your requirements.

 

•    Children’s bedroom with bunk beds.

 

•    Upstairs Bathrooms: Two family bathrooms with high-end fittings, corner Jacuzzi baths and powerful showers, with beautiful marble tiling from floor to ceiling.

 

•    Additional ground floor accommodation can be provided in the television sitting room – we can arrange the room as a comfortable double bedroom.

 

•    Ground floor shower room, sauna and WC.

 

Games Cottage: There is a fabulous games room located in a cottage on the estate, with table tennis, darts and snooker, which is shared with Loridale Mill.

 

 

Gardens

 

Surrounded by nearly 24 acres of gardens and parkland, the estate enjoys complete privacy and seclusion in truly stunning surrounds. The woodlands have elms and birch trees, dappled glades with deer and red squirrel as regular visitors. Hawks, kestrels and eagles fly above and otters can be spotted on the river.
