This castle is in a prime position on a peninsula at the edge of Loch Long which leads out to sea, and has great views across the water, with hills and mountains providing a beautiful backdrop. It is a listed building and was designed in the mid 19th century by a world renowned architect known for his love of classical Greek architecture, a style which he merged into his numerous characteristic Victorian Glaswegian buildings. The castle and one other property in the area are unique examples of their creator's foray into Scots baronial style.

Located two hundred metres from a stunning beach, the castle has recently been redecorated and restored to its former glory and is perfect for a family holiday or celebration, as a special event or wedding venue, or for corporate entertaining. The main section of the castle is available for exclusive use rental together with a castle apartment to provide additional accommodation if required, all on a self-catering or fully catered basis.

This is the ideal place from which to explore the Argyll region - Loch Lomond with its outstanding views and abundance of wildlife is within striking distance and there is ample opportunity in the locality for fishing, golf and other outdoor pursuits and sporting activities.
