Interior & Grounds

This beautiful castle has glorious views from nearly every room, with fully renovated interiors, roaring log fires and central heating. The generous reception rooms are traditionally presented with fine antique furnishings, comfortable sofas, luxurious drapes and woolen carpets underfoot. The bedroom suites are beautifully presented.

Ground Floor:

The castle opens into the spacious entrance hall with sofas and an open fire, leading onto the reception rooms.  The drawing room and library are very comfortably furnished with log fires, beautiful original fire surrounds, antique rugs and furnishings.  The formal dining room is elegantly furnished for full house dining, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast room adjoining. There is also a laundry and WC on the ground floor.

First Floor:

There are seven bedroom suites located on the first floor, arranged as follows:

•    Bedroom One is a double bedroom, which can be arranged as twin bedroom, and has bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Two is a double bedroom, which can be arranged as twin bedroom, and has bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Three is a double bedroom, which can be arranged as twin bedroom, and has bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Four is a double bedroom, which can be arranged as twin bedroom, and has bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Five is a double bedroom, which can be arranged as twin bedroom, and has bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Six is a double bedroom and shares a family bathroom

•    Bedroom Seven is a double bedroom and shares a family bathroom

There is also a small kitchen on the first floor.

Second Floor:

There are two further bedrooms on the second floor, arranged as follows:

•    Bedroom Eight is a double bedroom, which can also be arranged as a twin room, with a bathroom en suite.

•    Bedroom Nine is a twin bedroom with a bathroom en suite.

Third Floor:

The third floor is located in the castle turret, and is accessed by a steep stone staircase.  Traditionally the nursery suite, children will find the turret rooms a joy to explore, and there are glorious views across the surrounding parklands.  The accommodation in the nursery wing is arranged as follows:

•    Twin bedroom

•    Single bedroom

•    Family bathroom

•    Sitting room

There are is also further accommodation in the north wing, arranged as follows:

•    One double bedroom, which can be arranged as a twin room, with an en suite bathroom.
