Built in the 1500s as a fortalice – or fortified country residence – to protect an important trade route to Braemar and beyond. This stunning castle has lived through numerous battles and has now been transformed to provide a luxury holiday residence. The design of the Forth Castle interiors was inspired by its Scottish baronial character, which is combined with beautiful styling and modern comforts to create beautiful reception rooms and very comfortable bedroom suites. The castle has a magnificent traditional dining hall for celebrations, a very pretty chapel and sumptuous bridal suite, and can sleep twelve guests in superior comfort.

There is a choice of fantastic golf courses close by, with shooting and fishing by arrangement, horseriding nearby and mountain bikes available to explore the area.

This stunning Perthshire castle is perfect for intimate castle weddings, celebratory get-togethers and family holidays in this beautiful Angus glen.
