General & History
Resplendent in its courtyard garden and encircled by a moat, this superb chateau situated in the Valley Noire exemplifies the dream castle. The site was originally occupied in the 1200s by a fort until it was replaced by the chateau two hundred years later. The chateau was twice extended over the centuries to become what it is today and is now a comfortable size, perfect for a family or group of friends.
The chateau offers privacy, being surrounded by 180 acres of land, without isolation and also accessibility to local amenities such as the 4star golf resort & spa. Inclusive in the chateau hire is full use of the resort facilities which include indoor/outdoor swimming pools, saunas, Jacuzzi, salt water pool, fitness centre & tennis courts. There are also 3 private fishing lakes on the grounds. Green fees are offered to chateau guests at €28.00 per person per day, this rate includes weekday and weekend play.
If you are exhausted by the sound of all these activities, there is a music room on the second floor which has a grand piano and deep sofas, as well as doors leading onto the roof terrace - perfect for a bit of relaxation during the evening.
This spacious chateau offers you modern, comfortable accommodation over three levels and the 7 luxury bedrooms & bathrooms have been newly renovated for 2008. Each room is a fusion of old and new - retaining original features such as oak beamed ceilings, oak staircase and stonewalls with the addition of mod-cons such as air conditioning and Jacuzzi baths.
