General & History
Sometimes nothing less than all out, knock’em dead glamour will do. The Villa Dogi is the genuine article, a renaissance dream of grandeur, a trip into another, supremely civilised era. Built in the 16th century in homage to the calm, symmetrical palazzi of Andrea Palladio, this is a beautiful house and garden, still inhabited by the descendants of the original family. It is excellently preserved in its period glory - and as such frequently in demand for conferences, receptions, weddings, glittering stellar banquets, and as a setting for fashion photography and films.
The owner and his family stress the importance of visitors staying in the apartment being guests, as opposed to clients, and regularly take them on private tours of the main house, culminating with an aperitif in one of the sumptuous frescoed receptions rooms.
