Interior & Grounds
Interior:
On the ground floor, dine in casual style in the rustic, fully equipped kitchen/sitting/dining room with its turf burning stove set in a huge fireplace. At this level of the castle there is a guest WC and stone spiral stairs leading all the way to the 6th floor, impressive Great Hall, with an open fireplace which is the perfect formal dining location. There is an additional kitchen adjacent.
The castle boasts two large double bedrooms, both with king-sized beds (one of which is a waterbed) and one en-suite. In addition, there are two small twin bedrooms and two small single rooms. All the beds are dressed with linen fabrics in keeping with the era of The Tower House yet providing all of the comforts required by today’s guests.
In addition to the guest WC on the ground floor and the en suite, there are two further bathrooms, both with showers.
Please note that the spiral stone staircase may not be suitable for small children, the elderly or guests with mobility problems.
Grounds:
The landscape as seen from the roof of The Tower House is a pattern of small hills and fields bounded by hedgerows that come into blossom in the early summer. There’s an abundance of lakes surrounding the castle with horses, cattle and donkeys grazing nearby and wild irises growing along the gently rumbling stream.
