Grounds
The Whitecastle estate covers over 16 hectares of glorious west Cork countryside, and provides security and privacy for guests. Security gates and a high wall of stone surround the grounds, woodlands and lawns. The Cappagh Wood on the estate, is carefully managed to protect the native plants and mature trees, allowing guests to explore the woodland on a leisurely stroll or hardier ramble. The south-facing lawns lead to the terrace, outside the ballroom. Croquet is available to play on the lawn, there are tranquil ponds and streams with a boat jetty, there is a playground and helipad, all-weather barbeque area and ample parking.
Interior
The Main House
The classic Georgian exterior gives formal introduction to the opulent and immaculate interior of this beautiful Irish country residence. The decoration is both traditional and striking, and gives the house a unique charm beyond convention. The sumptuous colours, luxurious furnishings and exceptional finishes in every room, have their inspiration in the Orient and Africa. The ballroom is a work of art in itself with exquisite Renaissance style trompe d'oeil decorating the walls, glorious drapes, marble fireplaces and mirrors reflecting the light.
The ground floor
The elegant Renaissance ballroom seats 50 guests for formal dining, and provides a refined, almost exotic setting for weddings, parties, and corporate socials. There are French windows leading out to the terrace, allowing the party to spill outdoors. The Manhattan-style Art Deco influenced bar, provides a glamorous place to enjoy a cocktail. Adjoining the ballroom is the Morning Room which, at nearly 40ft long, can be arranged to seat a further 80 guests. The long terrace has an intriguing fire-pit and south-facing aspect overlooking the gardens, making this a delightful spot for al fresco dining and outdoor entertaining. There is also a dining room, entered through a beautiful arch and marble pillars, for more intimate lunches and suppers.
The Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped for large-scale catering by the resident chef and team, but also provides a charming room for more relaxed family breakfasts. The living room is furnished in deep, luxurious crimson leather sofas and luxurious Persian rugs with a musician’s gallery, creating further space for entertaining. The library has a computer with internet connection, there are a good selection of books and newspapers, a large flat-screen television with DVD player. There is also a second, cosy lounge with large flat-screen television, providing a relaxing space to watch sports or otherwise chill out.
There is a covered barbeque terrace, making outdoor dining enjoyable, regardless of inclement weather. There are also therapy rooms, tranquil relaxation spaces, available for beauty treatments prior to your special occasion or perhaps to help you recover - treatments available by arrangement. There are also utility rooms, including a laundry, golf drying room and offices.
There are fourteen themed en-suite bedrooms in the main house, accommodating 36 adults and two children. All the bedrooms have satellite television, DVD players and sound systems with CD players, telephone and modem connection. All the bathrooms have a bath and power shower.

Four of the bedrooms are double bedrooms, many with king-sized beds. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and a bunk bed. Three bedrooms are twin, four of the bedrooms sleep three, with either a double or twin beds, and a single bed. There are two family suites, each with a double bed and two single beds.
Stone Cottage
This charming cottage has four en-suite bedrooms, fully equipped with television, DVD player, internet and phone connection. The cottage also has a living room, dining area, kitchen and an enclosed garden.
Two of the bedrooms have a double bed with an en-suite bathroom. A third bedroom has a double or twin beds, and a bathroom en-suite. The fourth bedroom is a family room with a double or twin beds, and bunk beds for two children.
Coach House
Detached from the main house, but offering similar 5-star luxury accommodation, is the Coach House. The house has a kitchen, dining room and living room. There are four en-suite bedrooms, with telephone and internet connection, CD and DVD players, and satellite television.
Two of the bedrooms are double with en-suite, and two are twin rooms, both en-suite.
