Interior & Grounds
Ground Floor
Guests enter the castle via an impressive double height entrance hall, which gives on to the light and airy Dining Room at one end and at the other, the Great Hall, which is used as the castle banqueting room. The Drawing Room is an elegantly furnished room featuring a magnificent fireplace and overhanging mirror. The Great Hall is a dramatically coloured, enormous banqueting room which seats up to 50 diners in comfort and style. A combination of fine antiques and hand-crafted furnishings create an opulent, yet welcoming atmosphere. Floor to ceiling windows give the Castle its light and airy feel, while acting as the looking glass to the sunken garden.
First Floor
On the first floor, there are eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, providing stylish and comfortable accommodation for up to fourteen discerning guests. Each bedroom has a distinctive character, some boasting exposed oak beams, and all are furnished to the highest standards with antiques and features such as four poster beds and 19th century ceramics.
There are 2 single rooms; 4 double rooms and 2 twins, some of which have en suite facilities, but all bedrooms have access to a bathroom close by. For larger parties additional accommodation is available on the estate.
Grounds
In the grounds you will find: an all weather tennis court; a croquet lawn and a children’s play area together with a great selection of lake-side walks. Activities such as pike fishing, stalking, game shooting and boat hire can be arranged on site.
