General & History
The chateau, parts of which date back to the 12th century, lies just south of the Loire Valley in an unspoiled pastoral region of winding back roads, charming villages, and numerous chateaux. Its 16 bedrooms along with updated en-suite bathrooms, reception rooms, a grand terrace and a 56 acre walled estate, make it ideal for group holidays, weddings, and retreats.
The oldest part of the chateau, the 12th century medieval tower with its distinctive spiral staircase, was built on the site of an old Roman fortification. It was enlarged substantially during the Renaissance, and again in the mid 19th century.
