General & History
Celebrated as one of the top five rental properties in France by a leading broadsheet, this beautifully renovated château is available for exclusive hire in the heart of the rolling Charente countryside. Another review lauds its dreamy Romantic atmosphere, complete with fairy-tale turrets, whilst yet another highlights its exceptionally stylish interior decoration and modern art collection.
It's a big reputation - well deserved and jealously guarded too. Which is good news for guests. And it's great for families and kids too - heated swimming pool, private cinema, table tennis, a dedicated billiard room - enough facilities to keep even the most active minds occupied.
Only available for private, exclusive hire, the Chateau and all its facilities are yours and yours alone to use.
In five acres of private grounds, just on the edge of a pretty little village near Angouleme, the Chateau is private enough for peace and quiet, yet close enough to the village to be an integral part of the community. A five minute stroll in the morning to the boulangerie for fresh warm croissants is a nice intoduction to la vie Francaise.
Within the ornate, traditional stone Chateau with its turrets and tower are fabulous interiors which have been featured and acclaimed in design and travel magazines and books all over the world. It's no big surprise that major Hollywood stars have spent time here, but what may be a surprise is just how cost-effective the Chateau is for a group holiday or family reunion.
This chateau has pretty much everything you could want. Accommodation for up to 26 guests. Three huge salons, all with gorgeous french windows opening onto one of the terraces with its bistro tables and parasols. A 14.5m heated swimming pool in five acres of private grounds. Two separate terraces with barbecues. A private cinema with nine foot screen and surround sound. A Billiard Room with full size American Pool Table. A music area with guitars and amps. Then there is the restaurant standard kitchen - fully equipped for you to play chef for a week, and an adjoining dining hall large enough to sit every one of your 26 guests down at the same time should you wish.
And if the thought of cooking doesn't sound like a holiday, the Chateau’s professional caterers can do it all for you – anything from a one-off meal to full board every day – you decide how much support you want, then just kick back and relax.
