Chateau de Saint Octave is a fully restored and beautifully maintained centuries-old château and keep in the south of Loire Valley.  The ancient château provides a romantic backdrop for your perfect French wedding, and we have great facilities for corporate functions and family reunions, set in this beautiful area of Poitou-Charentes. 

The château can accommodate 24 in its bedrooms and family suites.  The Keep in the castle grounds provides comfortable accommodation for a further sixteen guests.  The huge function rooms and living spaces have been designed for entertaining on a grand scale.  The castle is surrounded by a moat filled with water, ser in glorious gardens and beautiful parkland - making the estate ideal for large groups who want to share a memorable holiday, event or wedding in the Loire.

Château de Saint Octave has a rich and entertaining history.  Dating from the middle ages, the castle holds an important place in the history of Poitou.  Designed in the shape the letter H for King Henri, the castle and grounds abound with fascinating ancient features awaiting your discovery. The beautiful ornamental gardens were established throughout the 1700s, and there are extensive renovations to this truly stunning parkland and gardens, using detailed plans from the 1750s. 

The gardens are not only important in the history of gardening, they also create a truly stunning backdrop to your French castle wedding reception, and a magical place of discovery, beauty and relaxation.
