Mas de Lystalet dates back to the 12th century, and was built by the Knights Templar on the order of the King of France.   The chateau is a solid building whose size, and opulent architecture and well-preserved stones are hugely impressive.

The house is beautifully set in the seclusion of its own grounds, and has two interior courtyards and large gardens, including a salt water swimming pool 12mx6m, which benefits from a long sheltered sun terrace.
