The manoir is located near the pretty town of Saint-Bauzille-de-Montmel, with bakery and necessities, while there is a good supermarket a short drive away. There are many quaint towns nearby that are well worth a visit, such as the Saturday market at Sommieres, Aigues Mortes, Saint-Martin, les Matelles and many more. The larger towns of Montpellier and Nîmes are only a short drive away, with many fabulous restaurants, shops and architectural treasures. Seaside resorts, such as Cap d'Agde with its long sandy beaches, are only half an hour away. There are also some outstanding local vineyards, which produce some great wines - notably Crus du Pic St Loup and Gres de Montpellier - and wine tours and degustations are easily organized.
