General & History
Built in the early 19thC, using the red brick typical of the architecture around Toulouse, the house has recently been entirely restored in keeping with its original style. It is flanked by two towers and a dovecote and has large windows which let in plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Encircled by 2.5 acres of gardens and facing the Pyrenees, this chateau is on the outskirts of Les Peyrous and 15 miles from the centre of Toulouse.
The countryside here is a cross between the gentle hills of Aquitaine and the Mediterranean landscape of Languedoc, threaded with country lanes, and sprinkled with hillside houses that has earned it the nickname 'Little Tuscany'. Almost all of the bedrooms have en-suite bedrooms and the property also benefits from a private pool with plenty of outdoor terracing to dine on.
