General & History
This majestic, turreted chateau is made of pale stone and dates from the 1700s. It sits on a hilltop and surveys a verdant river valley. Its lush, formal garden is surrounded by woodland. A sensitive restoration operation was carried out recently, bringing the property back to its original elegance. The chateau’s exceptional details – such as its carved stone fireplaces and sweeping staircase – have been splendidly maintained, while all the modern conveniences that discerning guests have come to expect have been expertly added.
The grounds feature a large (12 x 6 metre) swimming pool and a tennis court. A caretaker lives in a separate cottage on the estate. The property is not only available for holiday rental but also for business conferences and weddings.
