Interior & Grounds

This ancient fortified château has very generous living rooms, with beautiful high beamed-ceilings, huge stone log-burning fires and fantastic views.  The rooms are elegantly furnished with beautiful French antiques, exquisite wallpapers and decoration and comfortable soft furnishings.  The accommodation exudes the charm of a bygone era, while creating a comfortable and welcoming holiday residence.

You enter the château through a handsome entrance hall, which then leads on to the library, with an ancient stone archway, extensive collection of books, period furnishings and antique wool rugs.

There are three reception rooms:

•    The Red Salon has a stunning medieval stone fireplace, high beamed-ceilings, tall windows overlooking the gardens, intriguing ancient features and antique furnishings.

•    The Grand Living Room is great for entertaining.  The room features the family crest and a huge stone fireplace, comfortable settees, antique furnishings and wonderful views.

•    The salon provides a comfortable room in which to relax, and provides extra space for your party.

The Kitchen:

Well-equipped with all the necessary culinary equipment to cater for a full house, including a large stove, oven and microwave – as well as entertainments, such as satellite television with DVD and stereo.

Dining Room:

Dressed for full house formal dining, the dining room has comfortable antique furnishings, an ancient tapestry and a marble fireplace.

There is also a laundry room, wine cellar and WCs on the lower floors.

Bedroom Suites

There are six bedrooms within Chateau la Marquise Angelique, providing luxury accommodation for fourteen guests.  Dressed in elegant furnishings and luxury linens, the rooms provide spacious and comfortable rooms – with two additional beds and one cot available, which can be arranged in any of the spacious bedroom suites, according to your requirements.

There are five bedrooms on the first floor, arranged as follows:

•    Bedroom one is a double bedroom with a double bed

•    Bedroom two is a double bedroom with a double bed

•    Bedroom three is a double bedroom with a double bed

•    Bedroom four is a double bedroom with a double bed

•    Bedroom five is a family bedroom with a double bed and a single bed

There are four family bathrooms on the first floor.

There are is one bedroom on the second floor, as well as a bathroom, arranged as follows:

•    Bedroom six is a double bedroom with a double bed

•    Separate family bathroom

Grounds

There are over five acres of terraced gardens and parkland surrounding Chateau la Marquise Angelique, with spacious lawns and dining terraces, ancient walled gardens, an orangery, ornamental box and extensive parkland to explore.

The swimming pool is surrounded by paved terrace, with teak deck chairs, loungers and parasols and fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.
