Ground Floor
Dining Room: This grand room is furnished with a blend of antique and contemporary furniture. The room has a large fireplace and a French window that leads out onto a terrace and flower gardens. It is popular to take meals on the terrace as most evenings are warm. When eating in the dining room the arrangements are flexible, if required 25 people can be accommodated the dining table area. Ideal for spectacular parties!
Large Salon: As is typical of chateaux in the Gers, this large room has a traditional Gascogne stone fireplace & French windows opening onto the vast lawn. There are also beautiful views over one of the garden terraces to the chateau’s wooded garden beyond. The comfortable furnishings in this stylish room provide a relaxing atmosphere for guests throughout their stay. South facing, the morning sun floods in and in the evening’s spectacular sunsets can be seen whilst taking pre dinner cocktails. Of particular interest is the collection of original contemporary paintings representing many established European artists.
Small Salon: Overlooking the lawn this comfortable salon is an ideal place to relax with a book or listen to music. Walk out into the garden through the turret room which forms part of the salon. Pre dinner cocktails are often taken here and there is a small drinks area & bar in the turret room which has draft beer & spirits as well as a selection of hot drinks.
First Floor
All the chateau’s bedrooms are furnished with a complementary blend of antique and traditional styles and come equipped with Satellite TV, DVD & a HiFi System.
Bedroom 1: This is a large double bedroom, tastefully furnished with a stylish mix of antique & traditional pieces. The large windows overlook the expansive lawn to the south of the chateau and the rolling countryside beyond. The bedroom has a wonderful old fireplace which enhances the comfort when one needs to get cosy in the winter months. The modern private bathroom for this bedroom is just across the landing.
Bedroom 2: This double bedroom has astonishing views that stretch across the chateau gardens to the valley and green, rolling countryside beyond. The bedroom has a huge en suite bathroom with views of the flower garden.
Bedroom 3: With its splendid views of the woodland garden & the swimming pool to the west & front lawn to the south, this is a popular room. The green Gascogne countryside can be seen from all angles. This double or twin bedded room has an en suite shower room in one of the chateau’s turrets.
Bedroom 4: This excellent double bedroom has an en suite bathroom in one of the chateau’s turret rooms and has views of one of the woodland gardens to the front of the chateau & of the lawn to the south. There is an ornate wooden fireplace in the corner of the room, when lit in the winter it gives a superb warm ambiance to the room.
Bedroom 5: This spacious room with a double bed and magnificent chandelier has wonderful views of the wooded garden to the east of the chateau and of the flower garden to the north.
Grounds
The newly built swimming pool is ideally situated facing south and west to take full advantage of the sun from the morning until well into the evening. After the sunset, the pools underwater lights enable guests to take a dip well into the warm evenings. The swimming pool is surrounded by the attractive gardens with mature trees and shrubs and has magnificent views over the rolling Gascogne countryside.
Gym/Games Barn
50 meters from the chateau and adjacent to the Petite Maison we have converted this large barn into a games room and gym. The gym is well equipped with a multi gym, cross trainer, and static bike, there is also a full size punch bag. In the games area there is a pool table, table tennis table, table football and dart board. Just across from the games room in the field there is badminton net for an informal knock about and also an area for ball games. The chateau also has bikes for those wanting to explore the locality, which is bike friendly, as well as equipment for archery.
La Petite Maison
This small house is across the flower garden and is about 90 meters from the chateau. The maison is totally self contained providing excellent flexibility for the accommodation. The maison has 3 bedrooms, 1 double with en-suite shower room, plus 1 double and 1 twin which share a further shower room. There is a living dining area which is open plan to the newly installed and fully equipped kitchen. The maison has its own brilliant private garden with outdoor seating. When renting the chateau the maison is never let to another group should it not be required.
