General & History
The charming 16th Century Château du Pontsebrot is located in the perfect countryside of the Gers. The chateau was once a prominent hunting lodge and until recently the country residence of a French aristocratic family.
The chateau enjoys 10 acres of mature gardens which are surrounded by a further 200 acres of vines, woods & fields.
The vines produce Armagnac for the Château du Pontsebrot appellation as well as “Floc”, the local aperitif.
Château du Pontsebrot is more a country home than a stately mansion and has 5 spacious guest bedrooms in the main house and 3 bedrooms in the Petite Maison. All have en suite or private facilities.
There is a small gymnasium and games room in the grounds as well as the wonderful swimming pool. Each day the kitchen garden provides fresh vegetables for the guest’s meals and the chateau’s beehives produce an abundance of honey.
