Ferme Lystalet: The Ferme Lystalet can sleep 20 in considerable luxury. The historic chateau is located near Uzes in the South of France. The chateau retains much of its original stone work. The chateau is divided into classic rooms and apartments. Guests have exclusivity of the chateau and grounds and can take full advantage of the private swimming pool. Great value to hire.
Château du Pontsebrot: Luxurious chateau and maison to hire. 5 suites in the chateau, 3 in the maison sleeping a total of 16. All bedrooms have en-suite or private bathrooms. The chateau offers catering, there is a gym, and a private swimming pool!
Domaine de Lonchasse: The unique and splendid Domaine de Lonchasse is one of the most extraordinary we advertise! This is a prestigious chateau to hire, indeed the local wine and town are named after the chateau. The owner Michel, started an airline and was a lawyer by profession, has decorated the Domaine de Lonchasse with an astonishing and bizarre flair. The Montpellier beaches are a 20 minute drive and this is Foie Gras country. This is a real gem.
Château la Marquise Angélique: This fortified castle was actually used to resist the Pope’s forces in the 13th Century crusades, giving the chateau a really authentic medieval feel. It is now available with domestic staff for luxury weekend or weekly breaks. It comes with private pool, beautiful gardens and all the necessary mod-cons for a relaxing sojourn.
Domaine de Vouillet: The Domaine de Vouillet is a collection of 5 stunning cottages and a gorgeous chateau. The owners have taken great care in renovating and modernizing the whole site, and could not be more hospitable hosts. The estate is perfect for holidays, conferences or weddings. The chateau sits next to a quaint village and is encircled by fantastic vineyards. The owners run cultural courses including cooking and wine tasting. The Domaine de Vouillet comes complete with a wine cellar and private pool.
Le Moulin Pitout: This stone water mill looks out over 22 acres of meadows and woodland and the old mill stream still flows through the property. The chateau has been carefully renovated to provide spacious and tastefully furnished accommodation for a group of up to 12. The private gated pool has plenty of outdoor furniture to relax on for those sunny afternoons.
Chateau de Montelègre: This excellent chateau is perched on a hill with incredible views across the Sorgues valley. There is an additional cottage on site. Just look at the photographs to really see what a special holiday chateau this is!! One of our finest.
Château Vivant: This is a great value chateau that can sleep large groups – ideal for a number of families holidaying together. There is a large pool and beautiful views over the surrounding valley. An abundance of original features give the chateau its character and charm.
Chateau de Condamène: The owner invites you to her fantastic holiday chateau near Uzes. Chateau de Condamène has a solarium, a large terrace, a big enclosed garden, a private swimming pool and fantastic architecture. Interestingly the current owners are descendants of the family d’Hombres, the original owners who built the chateau in the XIXth century. The chateau has been fully modified and can host up to 16. The Chateau de Condamène has a Provincial feel, and Uzes is one of France’s most picturesque departements.
Le Moulin Bourganeuf: A Provencal style mas that was originally a water-mill before it was renovated in 2002. The chateau is divided in to a number of self-contained apartments making it perfect for a number of families holidaying together that wish to maintain their privacy. Lots for the children to do including table-tennis and a playground.
Château la Rocambrune: This chateau is fantastic value for money considering the high standard of accommodation. Inside there are the huge bedrooms with hand painted vaulted ceilings, a large party room and a games room. Outside the swimming pool lies within landscaped gardens.
Château Troyfond: The chateau is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty (nicknamed ‘Little Tuscany’). Almost all of the bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. While away the days on the rear terrace (overlooking the pool) that extends the whole of the south side of the house, shaded by a 100 year old Sophora tree.
Things to do whilst staying at your luxury chateau in the South of France:
The South of France has spectacular gorges, beaches, landscapes, chateaux and some of France’s most popular cities.
The Eastern Languedoc has 2 major capitals, Nimes and Montpellier. Nimes is a huge city famous for its textile industry, Roman remains and is France’s one of France’s major bullfighting towns. And the buzzing and historically multicultural town of Montpellier is worth a visit. Many of the beaches outside Montpellier are largely untouched.
Toulouse is the cultural capital of the South of France and the Languedoc, with founded claims to be the European capital of poetry!
The south of France and Languedoc has such a diverse landscape, you have stylish and chic yacht resorts, rolling valleys, rivers, a great and very evident Medieval history, Mediterranean beaches, immense cities and the weather to match.
