Cannes and Nice are the major cities of the region Riviera & Cote d'Azur. Cannes is famous for its film festivals, conferences and trade shows. Nice is the capital of the Riviera. Nice is divided into the new and old towns, both full of character. The climate is comfortable, the locals are stylish, the beachfront is good and the general atmosphere of the Nice is laid back.

The Cote d'Azur, despite the busyness, has some remarkably beautiful and relatively quiet spots. The offshore inlands, the diverse plant life, the hills, and the implausibly blue water, the Cote d'Azur is undeniably captivating. Monaco, Cannes, St-Tropez have their own obvious treats.
