Interior & Grounds

The château opens into a magnificent marble hall, which leads into the drawing rooms on the first floor, and then up to the bedrooms on the second floor. There is satellite television and internet connection throughout the château.

Ground Floor

The beautiful French farmhouse kitchen has the original stone floor and is filled with light, it is fully equipped to cater for the house and has dining table for breakfast and informal meals.  There is also a formal dining room, which has the original oak beams and stone fireplace, this is spacious and elegantly furnished, and can seat up to twenty guests. There is also a billiards room on the ground floor, providing a great space for entertainments.

First Floor

The spacious landing opens onto the drawing room and library, which is a grand room designed for formal entertaining.  The room has magnificent Louis XVI paneling, a beautiful marble fireplace, glittering chandeliers and elegant period furnishings.  This is a large and beautifully presented room, epitomizing the refined elegance of the French 18th century, and a real pleasure to enjoy and entertain in. The music and games room is adjacent, with piano and backgammon tale, and other games that offer amusements during your stay at the château.

Second Floor

The eight luxury bedrooms, including two master suites, have been recently decorated by leading interior designers.  Influenced by the refined elegance of the 1700s, the rooms are styled using stunning drapes and bed linens and gorgeous French antique furnishings and local craftsmanship, to create stunning contemporary interiors. Each bedroom has a private bathroom, with high-end fittings, such as bespoke basins and bathtubs and heated towel rails. Each of the bedrooms also has internet and telephone connection.

Bedroom one is a double and has a Queen size bed. Bedroom two is a twin room, with two comfortable single beds, which can be arranged as a double if required. The bathroom is en suite. Bedroom three is a single, with a large comfortable single bed and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom Four has a four-poster bed and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom five is a twin bedroom, which has two single beds, which can be arranged as a double, if required. The bathroom is en suite. Bedroom six is a double, with a queen size bed and an additional single bed, perfect for a family.  The bathroom is en suite. Bedroom seven is a double, which has a French double bed and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom eight is also a double, with a French double bed and an en suite bathroom. Two cots for babies can also be provided upon request.

Grounds

The gardens cover twelve acres of beautifully tended lawns, with flowerbeds and ancient trees and there are unique historical treasures to discover within.  Among the ginkoes, palms, willows and pine trees you will discover a pretty chapel, a wishing well, picturesque spring and a miniature manor house, amongst other pretty19th century follies.  There is also a wonderful heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court.
