Interior & Grounds
Ground Floor
Double doors lead into sunny entrance hall, off which is the fully equipped modern kitchen, which has been designed to be a living space, where you can chat and socialize while preparing meals or enjoying a relaxed family breakfast. There is a central island with large five-burner hob, larder fridge and dishwasher, with windows overlooking the gardens. The kitchen leads onto the dining room, with beautiful wood paneling, decorative ceiling and a log fire, and can seat fourteen guests for formal dining. Also on the ground floor is the light and airy, spacious living room. There is plenty of comfortable sofa seating, a library of books, as well as television with DVDs and a music system for all-round entertainments. There is also a wood burning stove and lovely views of the gardens from the many windows.
First Floor
The spiral oak staircase leads up to the first floor, filled with light, which illuminates the beautiful aprquet flooring throughout. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, all simply dressed in luxurious bed linens, with antique furnishings, parquet and wood flooring, and double-aspect views over the gardens. Two of the bedrooms are doubles and one is a twin bedroom, and cots can be arranged as required. The spacious family bathroom, with roll top enamel bathtub and traditional fittings, allows you to enjoy to wonderful garden views while relaxing in a lovely bubbly soak.
Second Floor
There are two further double bedrooms and two twin room on the second floor, all dressed with beautiful bed linens and antique furnishings, and with great views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. The bathroom is a modern shower room and has a luxuriously powerful shower.
Gardens
The manoir is surrounded by an acre of gardens, with lawns, mature trees and garden furniture for outdoor dining. The quaint traditional timber homestead and former family dwelling still stands within the estate, as does the cheese house, telling of the history of the estate. There are no near neighbours, and you can while your hours away swinging in the hammock, enjoying croquet on the lawn, or riding around on one of the bikes made freely available. There is also plenty of space for parking.
