"Just a quick note to say thanks for recommending the Chateau for my sister's birthday celebrations. We all had a fantastic time, the chateau was more than we imagined and the owners are so helpful. I would definitely recommend your company and hopefully use you again sometime. Thanks once again" J P
"I rented the Château de l'Épinglette last weekend for a birthday party with 28 guests.
The chateau was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. It was just like being at home (albeit a very large version of home) and so comfortable and 'lived in' that we did not have to worry about the children or dogs and everyone was able to enjoy themselves.
The rooms were large enough to get everyone together around the open fire in one room when we wanted but with 4 living rooms there was space for us to spread out between a dance area and a number of quieter rooms in the evenings.
The surrounding forest was perfect for walking and we collected pockets full of chestnuts to roast over the fire. Despite appearing to be really isolated, the chateau was actually within just a few minutes' drive of a major road, so it was easy to get to and from the ports and the Normandy beaches and other places of interest. The owners were very helpful with information about things to do locally, and organised a dinner party for us on one of the nights we were at the chateau. All in all it was a great venue and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to rent a large property in France." Melissa
"Wow, what a place!
We were a party of 44 aged from 0-60 who have been getting together for 35 years. What a really wonderful surprise to stay in a charming old French Château with mainly double rooms, great kitchen and banqueting facilities together with inviting open log fires (it was late October!).
The hosts were fab – no rules, just full of interesting information about the history of the chateau, of places to visit, things to do (try sand sailing for something different), gourmet places to eat, and advice on booking a chef and local musicians for the evening, and how to grill sausages over the burning embers of the fires.
The rooms are full of old antique French furniture, wall hangings and other curios – a great place to relax and enjoy the company of your friends for a few days washed down of course with copious quantities of good French wine!
Thanks for a truly wonderful week." Geoff and Gerlinde (and all our friends)
