Château Le Chais stands in close to a vast 7500 hectare Regional Park – replete with perfectly preserved villages, ponds and lakes - at the meeting point of three fascinating regions all begging to be explored, about which there is information to hand in the castle. It is possible to arrange fishing trips. There is no shortage of historic places to visit in the wider area, of which the magnificent gardens at Villandry and the romantic Castle at Azay-le-Rideau must be among the most spectacular.
There are two 18 hole golf courses and a 5 hole practice club in the area. Riding, fishing, shooting and tennis are all easy to arrange, and bicycles can be hired locally.
