There is plenty of space for active children – 10 hectares, with the fun of the wooded River Creuse actually running through the grounds. There is a pleasant terrace at the back of the Chateau, from which to view the sunset, with a g & t to hand. For al fresco eating, there is seating for 28 at three large tables on the roomy terrace area beside the pool and there is a barbecue beside the pool house. The Chateau is well-equipped with outdoor amenities – garden furniture, tennis courts (which can be hired for €20 per week), boules, volleyball, badminton, footballs and a table tennis table. Smaller children can exhaust themselves at the mini-playground, which has swings and a slide.
The heated swimming pool measures 12 X 5m, 2.4m being the maximum depth. It has wide steps at the shallow end, perfect for small children under supervision. Nearby is a pool house and a shower.
