Chateau du Vignoble is wonderfully positioned for exploring – there are the wonders of the underground homes where the locals have lived and taken refuge over millennia of embattled history, there are churches dating back to the XII century where archaeologists are still making fascinating discoveries. In summer there are roses in profusion, in this, the rose centre of France and every park and garden overflows with fragrance and colour.
