Chateau de Colasse: This neo-gothic, medieval chateau, complete with wet moat and drawbridge is quite simply extraordinary. Every corner, nook and cranny of this chateau is majestic and superb. Everything will be arranged for you and this chateau is well suited to holidays and for more special events.
Château Demoiselle Blanche: This is a beautifully run chateau, hired either as a catered of self catered holiday or wedding venue. The chateau has been featured on television, 14 can be housed in its 5 suites and 2 bedrooms. The Château Demoiselle Blanche has a swimming pool and private grounds.
Château de Verrinet: This luxury chateau has 6 suites all of which have their own bathroom. The chateau is surrounded by 4000 acres of woodland with wild deer that often come right up to the chateau to graze. There is also a sauna and a large trampoline for the children.
Château de Rutonrallier: The Château de Rutonrallier is located in a superb quarter of France, one hour from Paris and situated in a beautifully rural part of the Loire. 16 are kept in great comfort; you’re surrounded by beauty, style and taste. The building is stunning, there is a chapel on site, you have a private pool and the history is quite extraordinary.
Château Marnac: The Château Marnac has 12 incredible suites, each dedicated to celebrities that have actually stayed in each room. Guests today will also receive royal treatment from the owners. The parks, the chateau, the history and atmosphere of the Château Marnac are truly magnificent and everyone that visits Rainac will want to come again.
Château de Bucaille: The Château de Bucaille is surrounded by 70 acres of superb gardens. The chateau was built by the French ambassador 200 years ago. The Château de Bucaille comes complete with a swimming pool, a brand new tennis court, and a very friendly horse named Oulala! You have exclusive use of the Château de Bucaille, which is a private family home. The chateau is in excellent condition, is full of antiques and character, and can sleep 13 in classic comfort.
Château de la Passerelle: You need not lift a finger at the magnificent Château de la Passerelle. 2 discreet members of staff will wait on you hand and foot. Self catering is now allowed in this luxurious 13 century chateau. There is a swimming pool and fishing lake on site!
Château du Vignoble: The Château du Vignoble offers a very flexible and great value holiday rental. One can rent the chateau, coach and cottage independently and all guests have access to the facilities on the estate which includes a pool and a games room. The chateau is keenly prices and this is a very relaxed and comfortable holiday chateau which is perfectly suited for large family holidays.
Domaine de Montmerveille: This titanic chateau can be used both for events and holidays. 30 can be sleep on site in the castles 11 suites. 250 can be hosted for special events. The chateau is exquisite in its decor, history and atmosphere. Come and have a holiday in a 3*** hotel chateau.
Château Le Chais: This is great value for money for a chateau of its size and quality. There are lots of activities on site for the children and teenagers and the River Creuse runs through the bottom of the garden. The boulangerie is only 5 minutes walk away and a tennis court can be found 200 metres away.
Château Vornay: The chateau is a fairytale setting with moat, orchard, lake and tree lined paths - each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. This is the ideal base to explore the castles of the Loire Valley. Daily maid service and breakfast is included in the rental price.
Château Sirvan: The Château Sirvan is located in a national park and is available for holidays, weddings or conferences. The chateau and coach house have been superbly restored to former glories. All the rooms have been beautifully and stylishly furnished. 18 can be accommodated in the chateau and 7 in the coach house. Note the coach house is never rented if the chateau is booked so guests always have exclusivity. The Château Sirvan is an upper class holiday destination and everything from the pool house to the front gate is wonderfully kept. Your host, David, will see to all your needs once you’re on site.
Chateau de Grazay: The Chateau de Grazay has a brand new tennis court and swimming pool. 16 can be accommodated in the chateau and 2 in the gatehouse. This is an excellent holiday chateau perfect for family holidays. The Chateau de Grazay is situated close to some of the more famous Loire vineyards. Philip the owner will make sure all your needs are met.
Château Vaveix: The Château Vaveix is a 4 star hotel that can also be rented exclusively by a group. The chateau is marvelous value for money. The location is perfect, set in a 4 acre park, right on the edge of the famous town of Saumur. There are 10 superb suites and a grand dining room and salon. Each room has a TV, internet and a bar. The Château Vaveix also has a private and heated swimming pool. Your hosts are extremely hospitable and help to ensure a perfect chateau experience.
Things to do whilst staying at your luxury chateau in the Loire Valley:
The Loire Valley's principal glory are the many glorious chateaux that stud the banks of the river Loire and its tributaries. The Loire valleys lavish palaces, castles, manoirs and their splendid gardens are among the France’s primary attractions. Some of the more popular and most visited chateaux include: Angers, Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Blois, Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny, and Villandry.
Orléans, the ancient Roman city is the region's capital, and historically one of France's major centres of learning. Interestingly in 1429, Joan of Arc won a famous victory against the invading British forces in the city who had laid siege to Orléans for several months. Southeast of Orléans is the town of Sancerre, where one of the Loire’s, and indeed France’s most famous white wines is produced. The Loire valley boasts 22 world-famous wines, Loire wines are famous for their subtlety. Some of the more illustrious Loire wines include: Sancerre, Valencay, Montlouis, Pouilly Fouisse and Vouvray.
The Loire valley has wonderful cheeses Crottin de Chavignol and Sainte-Maure de Touraine, superb fish, world famous wine, eating in this quarter of France is hard to beat.
