Interior & Grounds
Ground floor: The salons on the ground floor are connected by a long corridor, keeping the chateau cool in the summer and warm during the winter. The entrance hall with its stone flagged floor leads to the spacious grand salon with its antique furniture, handsome fireplace, and its many comfortable sofas and chairs.
There is also an intimate petit salon which connects to the billiard room, and a grand dining room with an antique table that can seat twelve.
Guests may also dine more informally at the large table next to the open fireplace in the fully equipped kitchen, which has a range, fitted units, two fridges, two dishwashers, a microwave and a stone sink. The scullery and utility room has laundry facilities and changing room for the swimming pool with shower. There are two cloakrooms on the ground floor.
First and second floors: The four handsome and beautifully appointed double bedroom suites on the first floor have the original polished wooden floorboards and exquisite antique furniture. The two bedrooms on the second floor each have twin beds and all bedrooms are decorated with traditional wallpaper and quality fabrics.
All the bedrooms also have en suite bathrooms fitted to the highest standards.
Outside: The chateau is surrounded by parkland and gardens, including an arboretum of mature specimen trees with a lake attracting a great variety of bird and animal life - a wonderful retreat for the amateur naturalist. And of course there are endless trails and walks through the park and countryside.
Beside a wild flower meadow is a large swimming pool, and the chateau’s terraces offer wonderful sites for both family lunches in the shade of a large and ancient box tree round an immense round table, or dinner in the warm summer evenings outside the salons, with superb views down the valley.
