The chateau is situated in an area of agriculture and viniculture and has many towns and villages of historical and cultural interest, dominated by the spectacular scenery of the Dordogne valley. Each local village has its own particular market day, where an enormous and tantalising variety of food and produce can be purchased.

Karen, the owner of the chateau, who lives in a separate property in the grounds, is qavailable in the evenings and is happy to suggest and help organise all local activities.
