Interior & Grounds
Ground Floor
The Hall: Large double doors lead into a light panelled space, with pretty old-fashioned tiles on the floor.
The Library: Plenty of light, comfortable armchairs, and an ornate ceiling with a chandelier
The Television Room: a soothing, comfortable quietly neutral room, which has DVD home cinema, VHS video, television with international channels.
The Salon: Full of light from huge windows, the colour scheme is caramel and cream, which accentuates the original panelling on the walls and the intricate plasterwork of the ceiling.
The Kitchen: Sleek with white tiles and shiny steel worktops and fridge, the kitchen is a practical pleasure to use, complete with oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The Orangerie: An enormous room that adapts for grand dinners, receptions and workshops.
There is also a WC on the ground floor.
First Floor
Out of respect for the character of the chateau, while modernising and redecorating the layout has not been altered – as a result the bedrooms do not have en suite bathrooms. The pairs of single beds can be converted to make doubles. The rooms have space for an extra child’s bed.
Bedroom 1: Four single beds in a starkly chic room entirely decorated in black and white.
Bedroom 2: Two single beds.
Bedroom 3: Two single beds in a simple sunny room with brown walls.
Bedroom 4: Two single beds in a curiously shaped room decorated boldly with rich red walls. The beds look straight out of large windows into the park.
Bedroom 5: Two single beds in a sober, somewhat masculine room with dark wainscoting.
Bedroom 6: Two single beds in a sunny room with dual aspect windows and vibrant indigo walls.
Bedroom 7: A room with a balcony and two single beds that look straight out into the verdant greenery of the park.
There are three bathrooms and three toilets on this floor.
Second Floor
The décor is particularly bold on this floor, making use of touches of 60s kitsch, and stunning colours.
Bedroom 8: Four single beds in a comfortable room furnished with tables and chairs, with glowing bronze walls.
Bedroom 9: Four single beds.
Bedroom 10: Two single beds.
Bedroom 11: Four single beds.
Bedroom 12: Two single beds.
There are three bathrooms and three toilets on this floor.
The Grounds
There is a fenced swimming pool and a new tennis court (for which racquets and balls can be provided), basketball and a pond you can fish in. A barbecue and a terrace; both perfect for dining on summer evenings.
Lots of activities will keep children amused at the chateau – swimming, tennis, basketball and fishing for starters.
