General & History
This comfortable country house, with its orchards and heated pool, is surrounded by one of the most important wine producing zones in the world. Every November connoisseurs from around the world flock to the small medieval city of Beaune (a mere 13 kilometres from the estate) to participate in the annual wine auction. Throughout the year you can visit the cellars and shops of the region’s wine négociants, many of which offer wine tastings to the public.
The estate’s location also puts the visitor within easy reach of the wine zones that produce the lusciously fruity Beaujolais and the steely, crisp whites of Chablis. As in all well-established wine regions, the local restaurants are superb and feature quintessential French cuisine.
For those who crave more active sports, a leisurely drove brings you to the ski slopes of Switzerland.
