Interior & Grounds

The interior decor is chic modern classic, blending happily with ornate original fireplaces, polished oak floors and panelled walls, and intricate plasterwork. In a largely monochrome interior with an air of almost zen tranquillity, little touches – candles, the odd still life of tasteful found objects – have more than their fair share of resonance. Serene harmony characterises these sun-filled rooms, perfect for soothing the city-stressed soul.

Basement

This contains a wall-mounted TV and DVD player, and two exercise bikes, a rowing machine and a weights machine. Having toiled you can shower with massage hydrojets, have a sauna or steam or relax in an armchair and cheer the table football players.

Ground floor

Drawing room:   A large sunny room with an open fire, whose four walls are embellished with the original hand-painted wallpaper, depicting a garden of earthly delights. There is a library with a variety of books to suit most interests, and a plethora of classic board games, playing cards and a chess set. This room contains a giant screen TV and DVD player and can be rearranged to make a great setting for business meetings, with convenient access to wireless internet. 

Dining room: Sunny, with classic modern furnishings. Seats 15. Parquet floor and wood panelling.  

Kitchen: Fully equipped with an oven and microwave, 5 ring hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, coffee maker and toaster. We also supply herbs and spices for your use.

Sun Room:  Perfectly positioned, with huge windows round a semi-circle to catch every ray of winter sun, this is a wonderful spot to bask and enjoy the view on a beautiful autumn or winter day when the sun is shining but the air is chilly.

First Floor

Bedroom 1:  A magnificent double VIP room, with its own roomy semicircular balcony looking out across village, parkland and vineyards. This room has is equipped as a comfortable hideaway with television and DVD player. En suite bathroom with double handbasin, hairdryer, and bath with hydromassage jets.

Bedroom 2: Another VIP double room with breathtaking views, comfortable seating and its own TV and DVD player. En suite bathroom with double handbasin, hair dryer and bath with hydromassage jets.

Bedroom 3: A spacious double with an en suite bathroom.

Second Floor

Bedroom 4: A large double room with an en suite bathroom.

Bedroom 5: A large double room with an en suite bathroom.

Bedroom 6: A twin room – can convert to a large double – with an en suite bathroom.

Bedroom 7: A twin room – can convert to a large double – with an en suite bathroom.

Bedroom 8: A twin room – can convert to a large double – with an en suite bathroom. 

Grounds: The landscaped gardens extend for 4000 square metres, and incorporate a heated swimming pool, 5 by 10 metres. The summer house, by the swimming pool, is designed with the al fresco pleasures of the table in mind, with a stone barbecue to hand, and the full panoply of  fridge, sink, cooker and all the necessary utensils for eating and drinking. A heavenly spot for sipping a glass of chilled Chardonnay, watching the fireflies on a balmy summer evening. There is also table tennis for anyone that is feeling energetic.
