Interior & Grounds
The traditionally dressed interiors of this fascinating manoir feature handsome chestnut beams, large stone fireplaces and ancient stone archways. The house has been fully set up to provide plenty of entertainments, with a Sky television, a DVD player with a good selection of films. There are plenty books and board games as well as Sony Playstation II with games.
Ground Floor
You enter the manoir through a spacious reception hall with a beautiful spiral staircase leading to the first floor, with wood paneling throughout. The traditional farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with a large cooker, Aga and microwave as well as all necessary modern utilities.
There is a large oak dining table for family breakfasts and less formal meals. The manoir also has an impressive galleried dining room, seating twenty guests for formal dining, which is well served by a smaller kitchen and fully equipped to cater for the house. The salon is comfortably furnished and traditionally dressed, with elegant sofas, an open fire with beautiful surround, providing a great room to relax and entertain. There is also a WC on this floor. Located off the courtyard is a laundry and utility room.
First floor
There are four bedrooms on the first floor, dressed in antique furnishing, beautiful drapes, with comfortable beds to provide a pleasurable nights’ sleep. Bedroom one is a family bedroom, and has a magnificent four-poster double bed and two single beds, as well as a bathroom en suite. Bedroom two is also a spacious family bedroom, and has a comfortable double bed, single bunk beds, a fold-down bed and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom three is a double bedroom and has a bathroom en suite. Bedroom four is ideal for a couple with one child, as it features a double bed and a single bed.
Second floor
Bedroom five is located on the second floor. This bedroom is a twin room, with two comfortable single beds and a bathroom en suite.
Manoir de Vesuel has a charming loft apartment, which provides self-contained accommodation within the house, with an open-plan living room, kitchen, and three bedrooms. The first bedroom is a double, the second bedroom has a single bed and bunk beds, and a third is a single bedroom
Outbuildings
Located off the sunny courtyard are the utility rooms, washroom and laundry with washing and drying facilities. There is also a fantastic games room housed in the old barn, with table tennis, dartboard, table football and other indoor activities. The manoir also has a fantastic six-meter indoor swimming pool, it is heated to an ambient temperature, and the French windows accessing the room can be locked for safety. These French windows open out to the raised wooden decking area, with sun loungers to allow you to dry off in the sunshine after some lengths and a splash about. There is also a table and chairs to sit and enjoy a drink and snacks.
Gardens
The gardens of the country manor house are spread over five acres, with beautiful lawns, formal gardens, flowerbeds and shady mature trees, surrounded by farmland. There are several terraces with patio furniture, both gas and charcoal barbeques, great for al fresco dining. There is also a soft sand tennis court with rackets and balls provided. There is also a boules pitch and a children’s play area with a swing. Bicycles are also available for guests to explore the grounds and surrounding countryside. Two very friendly ewes, which have a fenced-field on the grounds, will enchant children, and there is also a charming family of hens scrabbling around the yard, laying their eggs, which lucky guests may want for breakfast.
