Grounds: The manor house is surrounded by secluded gardens, bordered with mature trees that have stood for centuries. There is a large shaded terrace, beautifully maintained lawns, flowers beds, hedging and a river on the edge of the estate.

The new 15m heated swimming pool has a roll-over electric cover, to allow children to play safely when the pool is not in use, and pool house.  Surrounded by terraced lawns, with loungers and garden furniture, this is a perfect spot for alfresco dining.  There are also barbeque facilities, bar, fully equipped summer kitchen with fridges and ice cream freezer, an outside shower and loo.  There is full-size well-maintained tennis court, mountain bikes, tennis rackets and balls, table tennis, badminton, boules, football and other sporting equipment made freely available.

Interior: Lovingly renovated to a very high standard, with original parquet flooring throughout, high ceilings, and a beautiful oak staircase, the manor house offers a spacious and comfortable stay.

Ground floor: There is a large reception hall and grand salon, with comfortable sofas, wooden beams and wood-panelled walls. There is also a study with beautiful marble fireplace, sofas, satellite television and DVD player, while the handsome billiard room offers space for indoor games. The dining room is beautifully furnished and dressed in luxurious drapes and linens, with candles, marble fireplace and patio doors leading out to the terrace.

There are nine large en-suite bedrooms, all of which are dressed with luxury linens, towels, bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary L’Occitane toiletries.

Soustons two-bedroom master en-suite: The first double bedroom has French windows leading onto the balcony, with glorious views over the gardens.  The double bed is electric, to adjust for optimum comfort. Beautiful marble fireplace and clean white linens.

The second bedroom, also a double, has an adjoining terrace with teak chairs and beautiful views of the garden.  There is a walk-in wardrobe, a television and DVD player. The bathroom has an invigorating Jacuzzi and L’Occitane goodies.

Hossegor bedroom: The elegant four-poster double bed, hanging lights and peach furnishings, create a romantic ambiance.  Light fills the room through the large window with views across the garden, and doors to the terrace give a spacious feel. There is also a TV and DVD player. The en-suite bathroom has a modern feel with freestanding basin and walk-in shower.

Vieux Boucau bedroom: This room has a beautiful draped four-poster double bed, marble fireplace, two big windows and relaxing neutral decoration.  There is also a DVD player and television.  The en-suite has the original basin on wrought-iron stand, walk-in shower and toilet.

Messanges bedroom: This charming double-room has a beautiful iron bed and is decorated in muted greys and blues, with beautiful draped windows, creating a cosy but spacious feel.  The windows give you views across the lawns and across the countryside.  The bathroom is decorated with beautiful green mosaic, and has a shower and toilet.

Seignosse bedroom: With muted tones and white bed linens, this double bedroom has French windows leading onto the balcony, which overlooks the lawns and blossom trees at the back of the manoir.  The bathroom is decorated in sunshine yellow, with exquisite blue mosaic around the basin, and a walk-in shower and toilet.

Capbreton bedroom: This lovely double bedroom has views out to the garden, is dressed in relaxing tones with comfortable furnishings, and has a television and DVD player. The beautiful tiled bathroom has a bath and shower, a window, square basin and toilet.

There is also a fantastic sauna along the hallway, where you can enjoy a relaxing, detoxing steam.

Contis bedroom: This delightful double room can also be arranged as a twin, with relaxing neutral furnishings and breathtaking views across the garden and surrounding woods.  There is relaxing seating, a television and DVD player.  The en-suite has a beautiful porcelain basin, shower and toilet.

Mimizan bedroom: This quaint and cosy attic bedroom is dressed in relaxing furnishings, giving a spacious, summery feel. There is a TV and DVD player, great views of the pool and lawns, and a full-length mirror.  The en-suite is separated by a stylish glass-block wall, and is decorated with beautiful green mosaic that surrounds the washbasin, and has a shower and toilet.
