Eight huge bedrooms with en suite bathrooms accommodate 16 adults and further dorms take up to 8 children. A stunning swimming pool, private screening cinema (with comprehensive DVD library) and a chapel bar complete the picture. There are complimentary spa products in the bathrooms and iPod docks in every bedroom.
Enjoy breakfast on the east terrace, with views over the wild flower meadows; laze in a hammock; catch a film; take tea and cakes by the pool; or hide from the world in the Chapel bar. Dinners and lunches can be provided for you on request. You and your family and friends can enjoy the setting that this stunning medieval chateau affords but in contemporary style and luxury.
Like many historic buildings, the chateau has been developed and added to over many centuries. The tower is thought to date back as far the 12th Century whilst other sections date from the 15th and, most recently, the 17th Centuries. The chateau overlooks the battle ground of the final confrontation of the 100 years war, when the French finally defeated the English and thus brought an end to the British rule of Aquitatine. The battle is celebrated in an annual pageant in the nearest town, Castilon La Bataille.
