General & History
Built in the 1400s, this lovely château has seven comfortable bedrooms, providing a charming country residence for twelve guests. Grand stone pillars and wrought iron gates create a handsome entrance to the château, hidden at the end a lovely drive bordered by evergreens. The house itself is smart and well presented, retaining its original character with an element of rustic charm, with exposed wooden beams and stone walls.
The estate is arranged over six hectares of glorious gardens and restful woodland, abounding with wildlife, including the pretty red squirrel and rare birds. Through the gardens runs an idyllic river, forming a natural boundary between the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne. The tranquil location is close to the pretty bastide town of Castilliones, and it is only a 30-minute drive to Bergerac.
