Grounds

The expansive grounds consist of woodland, herbaceous bedding, and lawns with a river running through.  There is a swimming pool in the gardens, surrounded by a patio and pretty flowerbeds.  There are ample sun loungers, to allow for soaking up of the golden rays after a dip, and the large summerhouse is fully equipped for al fresco dining, with full barbeque facilities.

Interior

The classic French style of this family château is appropriately dressed in antique furnishings and traditional fabrics, with personally selected objet d’art throughout. The chateau is designed with comfort and elegance in mind, creating a relaxing and comfortable home from home, within these large and spacious rooms.

Ground floor

The grand salon has a beautiful marble fireplace, intricate plasterwork ceiling, and comfortable sofas.  On the ground floor is also the dining room, which was originally the medieval kitchen, and once the heart of this château.  The original features, such as the magnificent fireplace, have been beautifully restored and enhance the charm of this dining space, which has seating for twelve guests for formal dining.

The Drawing Room provides further space for socialising and relaxing, with a warm and inviting atmosphere, an ornate marble fireplace, suspended candelabra and sofas.  The French windows open on to the rear gardens, allowing the room to be filled with cheering sunny breezes. There is also a lovely, light filled sitting room, with three windows looking out over the pretty courtyard.  The kitchen is large and very well equipped to cater to the household, which also functions as a breakfast room, for informal family meals. There is also a laundry with washing machines and a tumble drier.

There are four bedrooms, classically dressed offering simple country charm, on the ground floor, and a family bathroom.  The first bedroom is a double, with an original marble fireplace, and handsome furnishings. There are two twin bedrooms with two single beds and a fourth bedroom.

First floor

There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, each with en-suite bathroom.

The large master bedroom has a traditional exposed wooden beams, and glorious views over the gardens. The second master bedroom is large and classically dressed in lovely French fabrics, with an elegant draped canopy over the bed, built in wardrobes and wooden beams. The en-suite has a walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet.
