Ground Floor
On the ground floor there is a grand dining room that seats up to fourteen guests for formal dining. The room is elegantly dressed in beautiful fabrics, antique furnishings and chandeliers casting a romantic light on the proceedings. The dining room is well-served by a fully refurbished luxury kitchen, arranged over two rooms, with a fireplace and all the necessary utilities, including: Coffee and espresso machines, large catering stove, fridges, freezers and ice maker. There is also a fully equipped laundry.
The library provides a comfortable room in which to enjoy a relaxing read, it also has a magnificent limestone fireplace. There is also a wine cellar and French windows that lead onto the pool patio. The study is equipped with fax, photocopier, colour printer and phone lines. Providing a great room to enjoy a movie is the chateau’s very own cinema-style television room. There are ample comfortable leather sofas and a grand fireplace, with rich velvet drapes to provide the cinema-ambient darkness. French windows lead onto the patio and swimming pool.
Offering further entertainments is the games room, located in what was once the chateau’s chapel. The room is equipped with a card table, pool table and comfortable furnishings, providing a great space for evening amusements. There is also a bathroom conveniently located on the ground floor, with a shower, two washbasins and toilet.
First Floor
The five bedrooms are dressed in luxurious bed linens and soft furnishings, in fine French fabrics and drapes.
Master bedroom suite: Perfect for families with one child, this elegant bedroom is dressed in sumptuous fabrics and relaxing neutral shades, with beautiful drapes and a pretty chandelier. There is a very comfortable double bed and also a single bed. There is a smart en-suite with a walk-in shower, bath, two sinks, bidet and toilet. Adjoining is a small study.
Tower bedroom suite: This large bedroom suite is sited in the chateau’s tower, commanding glorious views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. Maintaining the same high standards of décor, richly dressed in gorgeous fabrics and handsome furnishings, this large double bedroom has a comfortable double bed and also a single bed. The modern en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower, a washbasin and toilet.
Also located on the first floor is a very pretty third double bedroom, with a beautiful carved bedstead, dressed in delightful traditional fabrics, with lovely views over the gardens. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and shares a bathroom.
A fourth family bedroom on this floor has twin beds and an additional single bed, which is great for a family, but also for perhaps children sharing. This bedroom also shares a bathroom.
The fifth bedroom is again, handsomely furnished and beautifully presented, with a double bed offering a comfortable retreat and good night’s sleep. The bathroom is shared, and has a walk-in shower, two basins and a toilet. There is also an additional small washroom, with a toilet and hand basin.
Grounds
With over six acres of very pleasant landscaped gardens and woodland, the grounds provide a considerable space to enjoy the outdoors, with the delightful Lede River running nearby in this picturesque valley. A stone patio, with plenty of cushioned sun loungers, surrounds the swimming pool and steps lead up to the surrounding terraces and lawns. There are many pretty shrubberies, manicured borders and shaded walkways, providing secluded areas to read, relax and rejuvenate, in these delightful surrounds. There is barbeque equipment on the patio, to allow for alfresco cooking and dining, mountain bikes for explorations of the local countryside and woodland, and even a rowing boat for messing about on the river.
