The nearest town of La Roche-Canillac has good restaurants and shops for all your necessary provisions and gourmet treats, and it is only a short walk to the village shop and bakery. The picturesque surrounding towns and villages, such as Argentat sur Dordogne and Tulle, are blessed with numerous auberges, restaurants and markets. The surrounding country is ideal for exploration on foot or bike, with trails meandering throughout this intriguing countryside and around the villages. Fishing and swimming are available on the nearby lakes, as well as many organised sports and amusements, such as kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking or orienteering.

There is also very large lake with well-organised outdoor activities run by qualified instructors including a life- guarded swimming beach, tree ropes courses, sailing, archery, water skiing and bouncy castles park. Argentat sur Dorgogne is 25 minutes drive, and the first town on the Dordogne River after the barrages of the Dordogne Gorges, with historic quays and architecture by the river.  Argentat is the first entry point for canoeing the majestic Dordogne River, there is a children’s water park in the town in July and August, and a weekly market.
