General & History
Chateau Saint Aurel is a listed architectural gem and one of the outstanding buildings of the region. It has been beautifully preserved, restored with integrity and filled with antiques of extraordinary quality. The charming, neatly shuttered building of weathered pink brick presides over 17 hectares of land and looks down towards a little miroir d’eau overhung with willows which encloses the historic Cour d’Honneur.
The titled ancestor of the present owner spent three months here annually, in pursuit of the plentiful and varied game that inhabited the surrounding 1000 hectares of forest and woodland. This passion can still be catered for by arrangement, and if your tastes are more culinary than predatory then a gourmet game feast can be prepared on the premises for your delectation.
