Interior & Grounds
Entrance Hall: This is everything you would expect from a grand French chateau. It manages to be both grand and yet welcoming, thanks to the personal touch of the owner, whose exquisite taste permeates all the rooms in this delightful building.
Reception Room: With views over the garden, this room is so comfortably furnished that one could easily spend one’s entire vacation here with just a book or two for company.
Dining Room: Elegant room with lovely views of the garden. It can seat up to fifteen people in comfort round the dining table.
Kitchen: Well equipped with all the appliances, ancient and modern, that the most fastidious cook could possibly need.
First Floor
An elegant staircase leads up to the first floor and six of the seven bedrooms, each with its own individual decoration and atmosphere.
Suite 1: This spacious (50 square metres) suite has two interconnecting bedrooms and shares a large bathroom, making it ideal accommodation for a couple with young children. It is furnished with antiques and has a television.
Bedroom 1: A bedroom of 26 square metres with views of the rose garden. Beautifully decorated with printed fabric of birds in cream and burnt sienna, and furnished with antique heirlooms, it has a curtained off en suite bathroom which features a roll top bath. This bedroom also has a television.
Bedroom 2: A large room of 30 square metres with a handsome en suite bathroom, antique furniture, a television, and views of the garden and swimming pool.
Bedroom 3: A bedroom of 23 square metres that can be either double or twin bedded by prior arrangement. This delightfull room has views of the park, an en suite bathroom, antique family furniture and TV.
Bedroom 4: A richly draped bedroom with painted sky ceiling and wonderful views down a tree lined avenue towards the River Loire. It has an en suite bathroom with bath, twin basins and shower. More than just a bedroom, it is a theatrical experience! This room can also be double or twin bedded by prior arrangement.
Bedroom 5: Originally the chateau orangery and, unlike the other bedrooms, is on the ground floor and has the original flagstones. Spacious and high ceilinged, it is ideal for those who seek tranquillity and dislike stairs! (Also double or twin bedded by arrangement)
Grounds
Set amongst almost fifteen acres of walled grounds, the chateau offers much scope for leisurely walks and a delight for the keen naturalist with its extensive gardens, orchards and mature trees containing a wealth of bird and animal life. The lovely River Loire, meanwhile, is an irresistible magnet for fisherman.
