Interior & Grounds
Arriving at the chateau, one passes the old coach house, home of the current owner, through a magnificent pair of cast iron gates, and up the lavender scented drive to the front door where one is greeted and shown round before being left to relax in the comfort and freedom of your new home.
With its dominating position on the hill, the views from every room over the wonderful Limousin countryside are vast and constantly changing.
Ground Floor
A short flight of granite steps lead to the chateau’s imposing main entrance before entering the hall through double doors where impressive oak stairs lead to the first floor. Adjoining the hall is the main drawing room, downstairs bedroom and kitchen.
Drawing Room: This large, elegant room has French windows opening onto the garden. Cool in the summer heat yet cosy in the depths of winter thanks to an efficient log burning stove, it is an ideal place to relax on the large sofa and armchairs. Double doors connect to the dining room and to the sitting room and when these doors are open it makes a wonderfully spacious area for entertaining with the music turned up on the high quality stereo system.
Dining Room: The contemporary Italian dining room table seats fourteen in comfort from where in winter one can admire the views towards the neighbouring town of Le Dorat with its church spire and in summer the heady scent of lime trees fills the room. The comfortable leather Italian designer chairs, the white Limoges porcelain and the finest quality table linen make any meal a treat, particularly if the dinner has been prepared by your host.
Sitting Room: With polished oak floor, stucco ceiling and marble fireplace, this is the place to go to play the piano or read a book, or simply to relax in front of the television, equipped with satellite reception, DVD and video player. There is a library with a wide variety of books and films.
Bedroom 1: This large downstairs double bedroom has an adjoining small bedroom with two single beds, ideal for those who have problems with stairs or worry about the safety of young children. The main bedroom has an en suite shower room with an oversize shower, basin and WC.
Kitchen: Directly connected to the garden, making it ideal for poolside dining. Equipped with all a good kitchen needs- electric oven with gas hob, a comprehensive selection of utensils, glass and china and, of course, a dishwasher. A wood burning stove helps to keep it snug and warm during the winter months.

Grounds
The swimming pool is naturally filtered (and therefore free of chlorine) and is kept at a temperature of 28 degrees. It is protected by a hedge and a wall and offers a relaxing retreat where one can soak up the sun on the designer sun loungers. Comfortably seating twelve, one can enjoy meals during the day or maybe an evening barbeque and late night swim with the underwater pool lights switched on.
The walled park offers a safe area for children to exhaust themselves in a variety of games such as football, volleyball or cricket, or simply run around or ride on the available bicycles. Mature trees provide shade from the midday sun and meals or drinks may be taken outside on the large table at the front of the chateau.
