General & History
Named after an ancient mill that once straddled the river that bounds the property, Tymyndd House with its attractively quirky façade is a handsome hybrid of thoughtful renovation taking the best elements from four centuries, combined with the casually elegant decor that is so easy on the eye and so hard to achieve. Finely proportioned rooms, with polished oak floors and fine antiques provide a subtly grand background for family reunion, house party or business launch alike. Standing amid 50 acres of beautifully designed and maintained gardens and wooded park, the house was used as a shooting lodge for several decades until the owner’s wife grasped its potential and took it in hand, turning it into everyone’s dream of a country manor house.
