Fflint House is a comfortable family residence available for exclusive hire for up to fourteen guests in eight luxurious bedroom suites. The manor house is surrounded by acres of enclosed gardens and beautiful Welsh countryside, offering luxurious self-catering holiday rental, with a housekeeper and optional catering – perfect for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.

Ground Floor

This beautiful Jacobean country house lies at the end of a tree-lined drive and opens into a spacious foyer with magnificent heraldic carvings.  These coats of arms pay tribute the family branches of the house’s former residents, and commemorate their services to the crown. There is a fine fireplace at the foot of the stairs, the spacious central hall is wood paneled and there are antique family portraits adorning the wall. The grand hall is a fantastic location for entertaining and leads onto the ground floor reception rooms.

The sitting room is beautifully presented with beautiful antiques, wool rugs, soft furnishings and the newspapers are laid out daily. The comfortable sofas and armchairs are arranged around the magnificent stone fireplace with a roaring log fire, making this a great room in which to relax and socialize.

The kitchen is a large, spacious room with stunning contemporary design and a beautiful oil fired Aga.  The kitchen is equipped to professional standard, and has modern utilities with which to cater for the house, including a large electric oven and fridge-freezers.

The formal dining room is beautifully presented for dinner parties and entertaining, with magnificent antique furnishings and seating for sixteen guests.

First Floor

There are four luxury bedroom suites on the first floor, with Italian linens and down pillows.  Each bedroom has a bathroom with luxury products and high-end fittings. The rooms are arranged as follows:

•    Bedroom one is the master bedroom and has a double bed, sofa, antique dressing table, wood paneling and windows that fill the room with natural light. Formerly the drawing room, the room is spacious and has a beautiful stone fireplace. There is a large private bathroom with a bath and shower.

•    Bedroom Two is a handsome double bedroom with a beautiful four-poster bed and a private bathroom.

•    Bedroom Three has an oak carved double bed and adjoining private bathroom.

•    Bedroom Four has king-size brass bed and adjoining private bathroom. The suite is serviced by a lift for easy access.

Second Floor

On the top floor there is a great television lounge, perfect for curling up on the sofa and watching a good film. The sitting room has an oak-beamed ceiling, a large, flat screen satellite television and DVD player. There are also three luxurious bedroom suites on this floor, arranged as follows:

Bedroom five has a super king-size bed, which can be arranged as a comfortable twin bedroom according to your requirements. The adjoining bathroom has a luxurious power shower.

Bedroom six has a super king-size bed, which can be arranged as a comfortable twin bedroom according to your requirements. The adjoining bathroom has high-end fittings and is shared with bedroom seven.

Bedroom seven is a pretty double bedroom with a queen-size bed, and the adjoining bathroom is shared with bedroom seven. Bedrooms six and seven are located along a private hallway.

Gardens

Fflint Hall is surrounded by 100 acres of grounds creating a very peaceful holiday rental, with three acres of walled gardens and south-facing enclosed lawns – ideal for summer parties and marquee receptions. The formal gardens gently roll down to meadowland and a river, with glorious views across the Flintshire countryside. The estate is a pleasure to explore, with an ancient barn and traveler’s cottages, great for walkers with a range of outdoor activities available, including: Archery, falconry, pheasant and clay pigeon shooting by arrangement.
