General & History
An elegant grade II listed country manor house with more than 3 acres of private gardens and a tennis court. The river Nar runs alongside the estate. The house has recently been lavishly renovated and offers a luxurious venue for large groups of up to 16.
The oldest part of the house dates from the Queen Anne period, giving a real sense of history. It house was originally built by the owner of a local brewery who later branched out into farming. The house has been decorated in a style sympathetic to its age and offers an ideal environment for celebrations and large family gatherings in an atmosphere of relaxed opulence.
Having been recently renovated it also boasts a host of "mod cons" with plenty to keep everyone happy. Two of the reception rooms offer an ideal space for adults to sit and relax, while the entertainment room is designed for more family orientated tv or video activities with its state of the art cinema system. This, combined with the well stocked games room, which includes pool, table tennis and football tables means that there is plenty to occupy both children and the young at heart. The large kitchen has been laid out for families to get together and cook or eat in a communal manner, while the formal dining room forms the perfect backdrop for that celebratory meal.
