Grounds
The Old Parsonage sits in 5 acres of gardens, with over twenty acres of meadowland and glorious views across woodland valleys, the Little Dart river, and across to Dartmoor.
The beautiful Victorian formal gardens, with quaint areas enclosed by ornamental hedging and well-maintained lawns, provide a place of discovery and relaxation in the revitalising Devonshire air. Tropical plants, wooden loungers, parasols, tables and chairs surround the heated salt-water swimming pool. There is a full-size tennis court, practically laid in artificial grass, and sheltered by Rhododendrons. The south terrace, built from Malta limestone, shelters an intriguing Victorian garden grotto. Completing the picture of this idyllic English country garden is the apple orchard and kitchen garden, providing fresh organic produce for the house.
