Nearest Airport: Teesside (45 minutes)/Newcastle (75 minutes)

Nearest Train Station: Rail services from London via Leeds arrive at the local station and the journey takes four hours. Pick up from the station can be arranged. There are direct mainline services from London to Penrith (three hours journey time) and Darlington (two and a half hours away). Car hire is available at both stations. Buses are not a reliable option.

Nearest Large Town: Penrith (23 miles).

The castle can be reached in about five hours from London, two hours from Leeds and Manchester, and approximately one hour from Newcastle, York and Lancaster. The Pennines the Yorkshire Dales & the Lake District are all easily accessible from the house, offering endless scope for exploration, outdoor pursuits, and sightseeing.
