General & History
The château, situated on the outskirts of Bergerac, is a truly authentic example of an 18th century French country residence. Initially, the manor of Alba in the 16th century, then the residence of the Viscounts of Montbazillac during the 18th century, this historic national monument has been restored to its former splendour after 20 months of renovation. A warm welcome awaits you at the château, which tastefully combines the charm of French tradition with every modern convenience.
The Château has two bedrooms and one suite as well as a series of lounges with beautiful decorative ceilings and original panelling, antique furniture and fine paintings. Whilst staying in these elegant and spacious rooms you can relax in the extensive gardens, around the swimming pool or you may prefer to take a leisurely drive in the surrounding regions of the Dordogne valley or the vineyard of Bergerac, Saint-Emilion and Bordeaux.
