General & History
The chateau is a unique property with a warm welcome located in the Haute Vienne area of the Limousin. It has a special atmosphere with a comfortable, well-designed interior and spacious grounds that makes it perfect for a relaxing holiday with family or friends at any time of the year.
Set within a 4 acre walled park with hundred-year-old trees the chateau has been entirely renovated to provide every modern comfort whilst retaining the original design and features.
A central salon with doors to the garden has tall inter-connecting doors to the dining room and a further sitting room making it a perfect space for entertaining.
All bedrooms have fine linen and duck-down duvets and all five bathrooms have limestone tiling, waffle bathrobes and windows onto the gardens. Outside, you can relax on one of the designer loungers by the large 12m x 6m heated pool with naturally filtered crystal clear water or dine alfresco with space for 12.
Built in 1879 by a local Count as a place to entertain during the hunting season, the chateau commands an elevated position within the local landscape with far reaching views across fields with gently grazing Limousin cattle through to the distant Mont de Blond mountains. A changing exhibition of modern paintings and prints from the Institute of Contemporary Art in Limoges is displayed throughout the property.
